2008 in review

Since it's the last day of the year I reviewed my projects and selected my favorites for 2008.
I want to thank you all for visiting my blog and leaving wonderful comments this past year.
I wish every a wonderful, healty new year, full of love and creativity!!!

2008 has been a wonderful year for me. My health is improving finally and Henri asked me to marry him. I love him so much and I'm looking forward to the big day every single moment. We are enjoying the preparations together. We found a wonderful location, a great marriage show and selected our favorite photografer.
Three of our friends became mom&dad for the first time this year and we love seeing their babys growing up.
We also got to spend some wonderful times with our family, and our nieces are soooooo cute!
Ofcourse we had the best vacation ever! The resort was awesome and I hope to go back there once more.
Henri made me my own scraproom, which is a mess ever since, but I LOVE it! I feel most creative when all my stuff is around me and I have to dig for embellishments :)
This year I was choosen to be a DT member for Graphic45, which is really amazing and of course my work is published this year in Scrapbook Magazine.
The holiday season was great, we've spend it with our family and presents, a lot of comfort and joy!
So for now I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
XOXO

Newborn girl Quinty

It's been a while, I know... we've been away for a few days and a lot is happened since.
Saturday my dear friend Jessica gave birth to a wonderful little girl, her name is Quinty. I haven't been able to visit her, because she's in the hospital and not allowed to have much visitors because she's to weak. Luckily her condition is improving and Quinty is doing fine right now.
I can't wait to see her and the little girl and I created this card for her yesterday.
Hope you've enjoyed your holidays!
XOXO

Graphic45 blog

Well, I'm finally started creating my next Scrapbook Magazine projects and I'm totally excited.
Things are working out the way I want to and I believe my mini is going to be gorgeous. I'm also working on three layouts at the same time, so I wonder what's going to be published.

In the previous Scrapbook Magazine were two Graphic45 projects published.
You can see them here.
Hilde is doing a great job with the Graphic45 blog. She's gathering so many project and creates a huge source of inspiration over there. So please have look and join us with the new sketches on Wednesday!

Have a nice weekend.
XOXO

Now what!?!

I seriously have a dilemma....
Do you ever think it's a pity to cut into a paper because it's so beautiful?
Wel I do....
Yesterday I went to Paper & Pictures to get some new material for the next Scrapbook Magazine. Miranda made me a bag with the most gorgeous new papers of this moment and gave me free hand on the design. I know, it's just awesome to get an assignment like that, but seriously.... I think it's a shame to cut them! I've spend all afternoon and evening staring from one paper to another. Thinking about the perfect design to go with the papers. Will it be a mini? Or better some clean layouts, so you can still see the papers. Shall I alter a project or create something technical? I really haven't got the remotest idea.....

Xmas cheer!

This weekend we celebrated Lia's (my aunt) birthday. Saturday Artur surprised her with a lunch at ''t Veerhuys' in Opheusden. All her friends and family were there. We all had a really great time and an outstanding lunch. Artur sure knows how to organize a party :)

Since it was a surprise, Lia had already done her shopping for Sunday, so we all came together again yesterday to join the after party. I tended to take some Christmas pictures of my niece Indy yesterday, but she kept running away. So I wasn't able to take a clean shot, but when I saw this weeks Pencil lines sketch I knew immediately what to do with the photo's....

I've used October Afternoon papers and rubons (Gingerbread, Tinsel, Falling Snow and Peppermint sticks paper, Merry&Bright and All the best rubons)
There are some Making Memories tiny alpha's and stamps on it, as well as Prima Say it in crystals, white cardstock and Ranger stickles.

Thanks for looking!

Pfff....

Saturday I've received my Get Inspired kit. The theme is Vintage Variety and I always love the kit because it's so different. Combinations of papers I usually never buy and that makes the kit so inspireing to me. I'm a huge Sassafrass fan but I would never have bought these papers so I decided to scrap them right away and I'm quite happy with the result!

I've used Pencil lines sketch 114 for the design and added only the crystals and an Urban Lily rubon. The rest is from the kit, including the Making Memories foam stamps and tiny alpha's.

Thanks for looking!

12 tags of Christmas

I may have a new addiction, but that doesn't mean I've forgotten the rest.
Last year I joined Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas and this year he's back!
Yesterday he started this years tags and he's just amazing! I just love his techniques and after meeting him a few months ago I'm definitely a huge fan. IRL his techniques look even better and he talks about his work with so much enthousiasm. I hope that one day I'll be able to join one of his classes....

New addiction

I have a new addiction.
I can't stop coloring Magnolia stamps. I never really liked Tilda, but since I bought my first stamp at KreaDoe recently, I'm totally hooked.
I use Derwent pencils, Distress Ink, Copic Markers, Aquarelle pencils, Stickles, no matter what medium I just can't stop coloring. Henri thinks the little Tilda's are stupid, because they don't have a nose and a mounth, but I don't care, I just love the coloring, it's totally relaxing :)

I asked some stamps for Sinterklaas, but he didn't buy me any so I bought some myself. Truike has the Christmas and the brand new New Years collection at Paper & Pictures. I already had some Christmas stamps so I bought a few New Years stamps.

Saturday I went to Paper & Pictures for a 7Gypsies Savannah workshop. We made a wonderful album with this gorgeous line. I intented to give the album to my Mother in law for Sinterklaas yesterday, but I haven't finished it yet.
Yesterday we celebrated Sinterklaas with our little niece Iris. So cute, the way she reacted on the presents!
Are you looking forward to Thursday yet? Well I am! Members of Srapbook Magazine will receive their copy by mail that day. It will be available in stores next week.

I'll share some projects with you by the end of this week. CU!!
XOXO
