Le Romantique

Well the weather sure is romantique... snow all over the place....
Luckily I don't have to travel by car today. Henri and I went for a long winter walk today and I must admit that was nice.
Right now we're sitting on the couch, by the fireplace, candles, chocolates... very romantique as well..
And do you know what's also romantique?!?

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

Many people would disagree with me, but if there is one thing I absolutely hate.... it's snow....

It's cold, slippery and causes a lot of trouble and inconvenience.
Besides that it hampers my social life, cause I'm afraid of accidents.
And today I experienced another disadvantage...

As some of you may know, my husband is reet tatcher and when it rains, or snows, like today... He's not able to climb on the roof and go to work. Usually he gets up at 5.30 am and leaves the house at six. Well... when he stood up today and noticed the snow, he got back to bed. Nothing wrong about that you might think... But he wakes me up by stumbling around in the bedroom and if that's not enough... His collegues call to discuss what to do today.... Wait till it's dry, drive to the construction site and wait, organizing the Christmas drinks....
Can you feel it!?! I'm wide awake by now and he's sleeping like a baby :(

Sorry for nagging so early this morning, but I just hate the winter wonderland....

I do have some good news as well. Yesterday I posted the new workshop scheme online at www.paperandpictures.nl .
And.................. (hhsss... don't tell everyone yet....)
We've been working really, really, really hard to make sure that the new Cards Only (11) reaches you during the Christmas Holidays. That's NOT a promise, cause we have to depent on the printing office and the postman, but we're ready and have our fingers crossed......

And it's Friday again...
I have finally found some time to sit down. Just send out the Paper&Pictures newsletter and wrapped up my Sinterklaas presents. And now I've decided to do something for my self...

I've created a sketch for www.truikebron.com this week and made a card and a layout with it. Heleen made a beautiful download out of it, which made me very proud. I've used the Christmas Past collection papers from Graphic45 and added some pink details.
So please have a look....

Scrapbook Magazine 27 is delivered, which means I can show you some work out of nr 26. Also Graphic45. I've used the Domestic Goddess collection papers.

These past three weeks.....

were awesome!
First KreaDoe, then the release of Scrapcards 3 'Cards & Gifts' and last weekend Magnolia event 'winter 2009'.
In the meantime I've created some projects for the newest Cards Only and Scrapbook Magazine 27 came out last Friday.

Hopefully you can imagine I couldn't find time to blog....
I do have some projects to share, but I'm going to clean up our house first :(

Baby it's dark outside...

Hey there!
It's been a while since my previous post.. I've been scrapping relaxed and have some projects to share. But unfortunately it's dark outside when I leave the house in the morning and it's dark again when I get home... So I can't take any pictures :(

But in the meanwhile... have you seen the new site www.truikebron.com already?
Truike and Heleen have been working on something awesome for the past few months and the site will go 'live' on December 1st. You really don't want to miss that!

Finally I have some time to relax. No deadlines for a few weeks and my next workshop isn't until December 18th and 19th. Two full classes!
So now I finally have the time to continue crocheting cupcakes. It's been a while and I find it difficult to catch up my skills again, but practice makes perfect right :)

Since all my recent projects are being published I don't have 'new' work to share with you.
But here's a layout using G45 transatlantique papers as published in Scrapbook Magazine 25.

Workshop Fall

On 31st of October I'm teaching the workshop Fall: spiders, pumpkins and a little halloween.
We are creating three projects that day. A mini album with a real cool technique, an autumn/halloween layout and a funny, scary card. In Holland we don't celebrate halloween, but next Saturday we do promiss you a spooky treat :)

Some air....

The past few days I've been busy showing my new collegue Karin around in the store.
We had so much work to do and so many awesome new things coming up, that we definitly needed some extra hands. So Karin is going to take the load of things for me. She's going to assist us with the administration and the (new)webstore. I can assure you, that's a huge relief!
It seems like Karin has the same 'drive' as we have, so welcome to the 'girlz' girl!

Magnolia event is approaching and we are busy preparing everything. It's so excited that there's another unique stamp coming up!

Ofcourse there is the release of ScrapCards 3 'Cards & Gifts' first, which is also very excited. I've created a gift and some cards for the book myself and it will be the first time my work is published in a BOOK! And a little birdy told me that our own Sammie created the project on the cover!!

I'm working on my husbands computer right now, so I can't show you pictures, but I'll make sure to share something before this weekend!

We are up to so many awesome new things.
The last things are being done for our new book Scrapcards 3, Cards & Gifts and ofcourse the deadline for Scrapbook Magazine is coming up again.

busy as always

yeah I know... it's been over a week again since I've blogged.
I'm busy as always. Made some cards for Cards Only and I'm working on my projects for the Scrapbook Magazine already. Also busy preparing the workshops at Paper and Pictures so there's not a lot to share at the moment.
I do have two layouts but I need to photograph them first.

Today the freight finally came in, but I was alone so everything is still in boxes. I dragged them inside and I can tell you that 26 boxes of scrapbook material is enough excersize for one day... pff... But I know there are some awesome collections in there and that makes it ok :D

Yesterday Henri and I went shopping for my birthday present. It's the first year he's not surprising me with a gift, I choose it myself. He knew what he wanted to give me, but we hadn't seen it live yet. So we went together and now I can't wait to open it ;)

I'll be back tomorrow with the pictures of my Lily Bee layouts...

Barcelona!

Last Saturday we (Truike, Jolanda, Samanta and I) flew to Barcelona to spend a few days taking pictures and visiting the most popular places of this wonderful city.
We started with a lot of sunshine but on Monday the weather was really terrible! It was pooring and we're walking up to our ankles in the water, even CNN broadcasted a topic about the horrible weather in Barcelona...
But still we've had a really good time together. Visiting La Palau de Musica (the Music theatre) was my favorite. What a gorgeous building!!
Right here I'm sitting on the roof of Casa Milia, with the Sagrada Familia on the backgroud... the proof I was really there :D

Prima classes by Tracie

Today I finally had some time off for myself and I had the oppertunity to join two Prima Marketing classes from Tracie Hudson. I'm a huge fan of her projects for Sassafras Lass, Prima Marketing and former Bad Girls Kits designs. So I hád to join :)
We've created two layouts with different techniques, like painting and sewing.
I'd like to share my projects with you....

I DO:
A layout using a transparent flock background with with paint, tule, pearls and flowers.



DREAM:
A clear paintable painted with acrylics and stickles. And take a close look at the flower centers. Aren't they great!?!

The album is a binder book by Maya Road. I've painted it with Paint Dabber Snow Cap and 'glimmer misted' the pages with Pearl.
I've used mainly the brand new 'Domestic Goddess' collection papers, but you'll also find some 'Botanicabella' butterflies and 'Fashionista' flowers.
The frame on the cover is from Melissa Frances and I've made it look 'old' with some oil based paint. The blue glitter is Mica also from Melissa Frances. The clock-frames are from Tattered Angels and the pearls are dew drops from The Robin's Nest.

Graphic45 September challenge on the way

It's been two weeks allready! I've been creating projects for Scrapbook Magazine and preparing the Graphic45 September challenge, which will be live on Tuesday.
I promissed to share some Graphic45 projects earlier, so here are a few layouts.
Two layouts of my nieces with the Transatlantique collection and one 8"x11" with the brand new Domestic Goddess collection.




I truely love this collection. I haven't received my package from G45 yet, but the shipment for the store was in already, so I bought some papers to play with in advance. In the next magazine will be three layouts with this collection and I'm very happy with the result.

Deadline approaching fast...

Pfff... finished my first week at work again..
So much work, so much customers... When I got home I was too tired to scrap, but the deadline is approaching fast. I have so many wonderful collections I hardly know where to start :)
I'm working on some G45 layouts and a mini, a Webster Pages layout and a Bo Bunny mini (yep all at the same time...) So much inspiration, so many ideas. Can one have too much mojo????

Back in business

Well.. after four weeks of enjoying our wedding, time has come to move on and get of the pink cloud.
Saturday I went to Paper&Pictures again. Truike just came back from Orlando and brought some wonderfull new collections to play with for the upcoming Scrapbook Magazines. So I started collecting pictures yesterday and moving the papers around the table. They all look so pretty it's almost a shame to use them.
I picked two new Webster Pages collections, a Bo Bunny collection, a wedding collection ofcourse and Truike gave me the best Making Memories collection ever! They are not in store yet, but keep an eye on Scrapbook Magazine nr 26...
She also brought the new Graphic45 for me and I was blown away by the gorgeous designs... Aimee and Diane... truly amazing!!!
I have some G45 projects to share this week, but I have to take it easy... sitting behind the computer makes me extra dizzy...

Back again...

Our honeymoon was amazing...
We've had a wonderful time at Gran Canaria and we were invited to celebrate our honeymoon in the south of France with my aunt and uncle on their boat.
Which was truly amazing. The environment was stunning, and the boat fantastic. For us a once in a lifetime experience. Dispite the fact that I suffer from motion sickness it was truly magnificent....
I can't focus long because I still feel the ocean, so I'll post more details and pictures when I feel better....

For being such a bad blogger, friend, DTmember and everyone else I've been neglecting the past few weeks. Besides my new job I've been incredibly busy preparing for the wedding.
I really had no idea it would have so much to organize everything and to make sure everything will go as planned. We've had many appointments and all after working hours so there wasn't any time left to socialize.
But finally the BIG day is coming up. The weather forecast isn't very nice, but that's the one thing we can't control right!?!

Bachelor party / Workshop

Last Saturday my friends surprised me with a bachelor party. Although I wasn't suppost to expect anything because it was a little early to have a party, I had this feeling that there was a possibility that it could happen last Saturday...
So I'd maked sure that I was dressed properly and had my hair done early in the morning. That seemed a good idea... At 9 o'clock sharp my friends arrived in two cars, making a LOT of noice :D
Eventhough I thought I was prepared, I was still shaking.... they had to make coffee themself, cause I simply couldn't.
They made me pack a hug bag with all sorts of stupid things, it took me over 45 minutes to get everything! After driving for 1,5 hours I finally reached our destination.... VOLENDAM!!! :D
I just love dutch music and Volendam is a little harbour village where a lot of Dutch musicsians come from. So I really loved the fact that we went there! And I loved it even more when I found out what we were going to do.... Well, everyone who knows me, won't see it as a surprise, but for me it was.... They'd planned a photoshoot!!! YEAH.... A scrapper can never have enough pictures right!?!
It was totally cool! If you'd like, go check out the website of fotoblaauw. I guess they will hand me the pictures after the wedding, so I'm not able to share them with you....

After that shoot we went to the dike and made a picture in costumes. Don't we look cute??? grin :)


We closed of the day with dinner and drinks, it was really lovely. Thanks girls, I've had a wonderful time!

Now, that's over I can focus on work again ;) This Saturday I'm teaching a workshop over at Paper&Pictures, called Tags, tags, tags.
We'll make two different projects. One really fun, cheerful, wooden tag album, using the Bo Bunny Popsicle collection. And one project full with different sorts of tags and a LOT of techniques. We do have some spots left, so if you'd like to join us, you can submit at www.paperandpictures.nl.

It's been busy again today. The firkars punches arrived and we also received several boxes from Product Perfomers with some new Making Memories, punches and ink products.
